Fox’s Noodle House
This is part of my blog series Practical Self-Help for Introspective People.
Hey, friends!
Here’s a fable I wrote for my kids:
Hog and Monkey met at Fox’s Noodle House for lunch. The porker had a copy of the menu at home and decided in advance what to order. But the little ape felt ambivalent.
Fox was known for incredible pasta but not patience. When it was time to order, Monkey said, “I don’t want the ramen. Or the fettuccine. Or the Hakka noodles. Just bring me something I won’t hate.”
Fox smirked, bowed, and left.
Minutes later, Hog received a steaming plate of chow mein. And with great deference, Fox handed Monkey an empty plate.
Moral: You’re responsible for figuring out what you want.
